I would be interested in 5 caps, Let me know how much, and I'll (hopefully) be at the next meeting.

I also have the cheap faucets. They do get stuck, sometime very severely. I tear them apary and soak in PBW. I will probably upgrade to Perlicks when I get around to it. I just have to keep up with cleaning and they do OK for me. Every time I change kegs, I run PBW and sanitizer through them, then go through and clean all with a soak about once every 4-6 week, depending on usage. I use the LLC from Joe to clean the lines and everything when I do the 4-6 week cleaning. Perlicks are definitely on my wishlist, but I'm getting by fine for now. If I was starting from scratch I would just get the Perlicks.

I paid like $2.75/dozen. So I'm not worrying about payment

Found some great deals on www.ritebrew.com on Perlicks and shanks.

chrome plated brass 525 series for $19/ea or go all SS 630's but at a $20 increase to $38/ea. That adds up when you want to buy all 5 at once. The 525's are discontinued and replaced with the 630, but I am unsure of the differences at this point.

Anyone see a reason to HAVE to have all stainless or will chrome plated be fine for years in the average beer swiller's garage?

If your shanks aren't stainless, then I don't see the reason to spring for the stainless. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Good call there. Emailed Ritebrew and he confirmed that plated will be fine and if I am going all stainless to also get stainless shanks so the budget keeps going up the more bling you want.
