Rye ideas?

Rye is small and can be like wheat so follow similar to what you would do for a wheat beer. As far as rice hulls, don't know. I have never used them.

When weighing out my grains last night I should have kept the rye and wheat separate to see how it crushes since it's a lot smaller. Maybe a double run through the mill for good measure

"recommendation" is 2-5%.
if you are doing batch sparge (I do), I can't see how you could possibly use too much rice hulls. 5% is my go-to amount, dirt cheep and keeps things non-frustrating.

If you are relying on a grain bed to slow down liquid flow instead of relying on your valve, then I guess you could use too much.

I'll grab a pound after work tomorrow and toss it into the cooler. Can't hurt and it's dirt cheap like you said.
