Surly Darkness Release?

For Marion it is some special list. I asked last year about bourbon county stout the weekend it was released, was there an email sent out and he said yes. I was like, oh I'm on the email list and didn't see it; oh well it is a special list or something like that. He didn't ask if I wanted on it or anything and to top off all that when I asked out putting up beer nuts fest posters he was kind of annoyed.

I asked him for a quote on a keg of confluence... he never got back to me so i went elsewhere.

He got back to me after the event asking me why I never picked it up.

Plenty of good Hy-Vee's to deal with. I would say don't mess around with Marion then. Mt. Vernon Road rocks these days. Stepped up their game with the remodel. I stopped by there on a Tuesday a couple months ago to grab something and they were pouring free pints of Todd the Axeman and you got to keep the glass. Free food too.

I was very impressed with the beer selection at the Oakland Road HyVee the other evening. Hadn't been to that one in a long time.

Oakland Rd and Edgewood Rd are best ones in town in my opinion. But Mt Vernon Rd has definitely stepped it up

Mt Vernon Rd has more regular darkness this morning plus they have vanilla noir and apple brandy noir.

Don't know anything about a "special list" at the Marion Hy-Vee, but I stopped there Wednesday afternoon and I bought a bottle of Surly Darkness. There was about a half dozen bottles left alongside other special releases on the liquor dept. checkout counter.
