I have a Rye ale and a Munich Helles going for about 2 weeks that should be ready.
Also will be checking the year old Cherry Kreik. If it turns out, might have a 1or 2 bottle special release.

I plan to crank out a double IPA soon for the fest. Also, if we have some special release stuff, let's go ahead and start with those to accommodate the premium paid by VIP ticket holders for the first hour.

A friendly reminder that Benz Beer Festival will soon be upon us. The next CR Beer Nuts membership meeting will be our last before this event.

We may call an organizational meeting or two, specific to this event is needed.

In addition to beer, we will need volunteers to pour and manage kegs.

Several of you have volunteered beer already (many thanks for that), but we could use more, so feel free to post here until we get the herokuapp set-up for the sign-up.

Also, reply to this post, if you can volunteer. We can probably set up in about an hour (just the big bar I am expecting) and could tear down in an hour. Some of the tasks will be:

Trailer/Bar Transport to Benz

Set-up/Clean up (Lines?)

Pouring

Keg/Pour Master (sets the schedule of pours and manages the keg swaps onsite)

Ticket Sales (for our Beer Fest)

Tear/Down Clean-up/Store the bar

Transport Trailer back to storage

We will more formalize this list in the upcoming Cabinet Meeting.

I just logged into the heroruapp and it took me directly to the Benz Beer Fest 2016 sign up page.

Register your entries at will....the earlier the better....do not worry if your entry runs out before the Fest or doesn't turn-out; hey, stuff happens.

But we want to have a good show of support to one of our biggest benefactors, Benz Beverage Depot.

Yes, I had set up the Benz Fest signup soon after the date was announced. You can also enter beers for our home brew fest as well if you already know what you're bringing. We also need to remember to promote our fest to people from other clubs that might be attending Benz. The main page of the app doesn't show entries until 30 days before the next fest. But you can enter beers as soon as an admin sets up a fest in the app.

My favorite beer name on our list so far is Uncle Dan's Prison Wine. Nice.

entered a an english mild, was there a place to sign up to help setup or just show up at 11 and do stuff?

I've entered an English IPA. But, I might not be able to be there until 12:30. Can I drop it off the night before? Or should I just assume a later tapping and bring it late?

We can drop our labeled kegs off at Benz the night before, they will be stored in the walk-in cooler.
