Glad we didn't scare you away Joel, haha. It's a really fun group of people, I've learned a lot in my short few months in the club.

Hello!

My name is Billy. I am fairly new to Cedar Rapids and home brewing. My brother-in-law got me into it, and now my free time consists of beer, sports, or both! I'm currently moving to all grain brewing and piecing together the equipment. I am also just about to start a four tap keezer build.

Stay thirsty, my friends!

Billy

Welcome Billy! We normally meetings the 3rd Thursday of each month except December. Of course that's on hold for now. But some of us are having an online meetup Saturday evening at 7. You are welcome to introduce yourself there. Checkout the Going Out For a Beer topic for details.

Welcome to the CRBS homebrewing community Billy.

You'll be hanging out with a good group of brewers; who make good beer, share their beer (at our festivals, the Homebrew Happy Hours at Lion Bridge on the last Sunday of the month, and at our club meetings), and share their knowledge of making beer. Although, it may be summer until we get back to sharing beer. But, if you have questions on making homebrew, cider, or mead - you've come to the right place; just start a new topic with your question under the appropriate subject heading and I guarantee you will get some answers.

Need equipment? Post your needs here (under Equipment), and you might pick up a bargain; it seems most of us have unused equipment (mash tuns, kettles, pumps, etc.) as we upgrade our systems. In the Fall, we have host a homebrew garage sale of sorts; where members will bring out their unused equipment to sell, trade, or donate. The event, and our other events, will be posted here.

You can also find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/CedarRapidsBrewingSociety/. We post most all of our information here and on our Facebook page.

Good luck with your transition to all-grain; it really is an easy process; and while you hone your skills, you will make beer every time!
Cheers,
Daryl
