Probably, but buckets are cheap enough that you can replace them if needed. I think the issue is with the clear types of plastic. I've had PBW cause cracks in Better Bottles. Pico also says not to use it with most of their parts (kegs excepted).

I seem to recall talking with some folks at a previous NHC that Better Bottle has solved the PBW interaction/cracking problem (the cracks were always at the water line/air interface). I think that I got this info from the Five Star folks. I was thinking about converting from glass to plastic at the time and was concerned about this problem that I'd heard about. I've never seen a problem with my Better Bottles and I soak them overnight in PBW sometimes. But, just in case, I try and top them off so the interface is at the very top of the carboy. I'm planning with the new keg washers we're going to build, that I won't have to soak them anymore.

Just my two cents: I've had my better bottles nearly 4 years, always cleaned with pbw, no issues yet.

Better bottles, Fermonsters and now Fermentasaurus no issues with PBW or oxiclean.
