We were successful in judging the Dunkles Weissbier entries last week.
The winners will be announced at this week's membership meeting, along with the current standings for brewer of the year. That information will also be posted on this forum either Thursday evening or sometime on Friday under Members Only -> 2018 Quarterly Competition Styles/Results.
Once again the entries were good representations of what our members are capable of achieving. Ranking the second and third place brews was particularly difficult....but the judges soldiered through it.
Many thanks to my judging crew that included: Terry Arnold, Travis Kasper, Joel Null, and myself....and our steward Randy Carris. Who I think had the most fun, doing as much tasting as the judges - without having to do formal evaluations, but he kept our beer entries straight, tallied the scores, and filled out the score sheets. Everything went quite smooth.
Please look over your evaluations and please let me know if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions in improve our judging process. You can see me at a meeting, PM me, or post on the forum. I am always interested in hearing how we can improve our competitions.
