I am out. I want to come, but I have been out too much lately. I am taking my older girls fishing and canoeing Saturday. They have been begging all summer and keep getting bumped. I may still pop out Saturday night to camp and drink, but it is highly unlikely.
I say everyone feel free to invite friends. This campsite isn't near full yet and I want this to be a party too, even if I can't make it! Also, for those going state where you plan to sleep...tent, camper, car, passed-out in a chair next to the fire. That is usually where I end up.

Bring the kids with ya! Then you can have kids and beer. THey should have the boat rentals open there as well which can bet tons of fun for the kiddos.
I won't be there tonight, since no one else is.. if it was an electrical site I would be there... I can party by myself, just like to be able to flip the tv on, and ac... now thats camping..
I'll probably bring ladder golf, anyone else have horse shoes, bags, etc.? it probably won't hurt to have an extra ladder golf either.
Anyone have an awning, or stand alone shelter, sorry pulling a blank for the proper name.
The first annual “BC 2009” big success. Its was a picture perfect Saturday, comfortable weather, cool breeze and plenty of sun. The drive up to site number 7 is a memorable one, country road, fresh air and fields of corn..what a treat! Once in the park the drive is an interesting road with twist and turns up treacherously steep one lane gravel roads but few of us anticipated the paradise that awaited at the top.
Once you achieve the incredible climb you come upon the sleepy group camps, once past the low rent district group sites and horse shoes you come upon BEER CAMP. (pictures will be posted). The site was glorious of its own, but not complete. Provisions of pork burgers, pretzel rods, and a compellation of home brew, Schlitz, and mickeys made BEER CAMP truly the garden of Eden.
Those that were able to indulge in the fruit of the brew were, Brian “the lumberjack”, Michelle “the medic”, Bill “the starving” and mrT “the Burnt”.
And from this BEER CAMP the BC 2009 games were born. We had intense games of ladder golf, VW powered games of bags and some unexpected challenge of hurling. Truly these games will carry on to BC 2010 with much anticipation and bragging rights on the line from the previous years.
It was difficult to say goodbye to the magic of Beer Camp, but look forward to next year and have the memories to share with all.
Thanks to all who made it to BC 2009 and made it so memorable.
So even though there was no electric, is it safe to say the campsite was pretty cool? I hope we do it again next year and get more people. I think it will help if we plan it not so close to other beer events next year like the weekend at Pete's and Great Taste of the Midwest. Perhaps June? I know I can't pull off multiple weekends in a row doing stuff with out the family.
