Since I only have one cobra/picnic tap from my more ghetto days of kegging and nothing portable to push CO2 with, I think I better pour off Growlers and Swing tops (since I only own two growlers)... for the event. One of my "three" entries-- surprisingly enough kinda good mixed on the cold side-- is a 50/50 mix of the two anyway.. so.. I'll just do the same as when I bottled them for the judging. Growler fill on cold glass and cap. This way I can put them in a big cooler and add ice and be more or less self-sufficient.

I might only be able to stay for 2-3 hours of the 4. I assume later will be busier than earlier. Any preference Daryl? Later works for me better. If you absolutely need me the whole time, then I'll do it but there will be just a little more hell to pay with the wife.

Once my 10# tank runs out, I'm going to buy a 20# too and a better regulator for the keezer (probably a dual) and then use the 10# for backup and portable. You guys are starting to talk me into it. Winter break project, likely.

Fred
Come later, if that allows you to stay until the end...we can finish strong....4-7 would be perfect.

I will be there as close to 3 pm as possible. I may be as late as 3:30, but I will definitely bring everything I need to pour with me.

I dropped off my bottles of beer earlier. They are in a blue cooler. I will be there later. Feel free to pour my beer if needed before I get there.

People's Choice Award for the 2016 Inaugural Wort Rally: Tall Ships Porter by Matt Franklin
2nd Place: Raspberry Disaster by Andrew Gray
3rd Place: Salted Caramel Meux by Daryl McCall

Congratulations to all of the participants, the club served up some really good beers that afternoon.

The Lion Bridge selection(s) will be forthcoming; as soon as the tasting crew recovers from a nasty summer head cold....So, more to follow.

There were 32 different beers there from the same wort, including the one for sale on tap. Not a single one was bad in the bunch. I'm not kidding or even being nice. It was true. The public seemed to be impressed by the club's skills.

Thanks for Daryl for arranging most of it from the club side, and thanks to Lion's Bridge for providing the wort (and indicating to us that it was a success and it will happen again!). It was incredibly educational for all of us. I think everyone experimented and they, honestly all turned out drinkable or better.

I, for one, am going to extract my coffee for my dry coffee stouts with some sort of alcohol from now on, but in a quantity a little less than my porter used. That was the big experiment for me (I knew the Cocoa Nibs would work even though I had never done that before either). Most of you were far more creative.

Not a single one was bad in the bunch.
That's because I bowed out.

It's been over a month now. So, what's the deal? Are we ever going to get judging sheets? I'd like feedback on my entries.
