Pottsie is bringing the tap box (repaired, we hope!) Do we need any hardware for it- connections, second chill plate, cooler, etc.?
Tools? -wrenches, etc.
Who's bringing the CO2 & regulator?
I have the chill plate and Kent's randal. What do we want to put in the randal? I have lots of dried cascade hops if someone wants to amp up their beer. Or, does someone have a fruit that they'd like to run their beer through in the randal?
Who's got the club tent and who's bringing it up?
Club box with whiteboard, stand, banner, etc.? Big T - you got that covered?
BYO - chairs.
Do we want to rendezvous somewhere Saturday and drop off kegs with someone with a van/suv to transport them up? I was hoping to carpool up with someone also, since I've never been there.
One idea that I took away from NHC this year was the way the did the hospitality room taps. Rather than putting the names of the beers directly on the taps, they just used a whiteboard and put numbers next to them and told folks to ask for the choice by number, not name. Since we've got a lot of different beers that we're pouring, and we have a whiteboard (do we need new markers?), we should try it. That way the servers don't have to remember what's on tap either, just count down the tap handles (or put masking tape on them with their number). Easier to swap out beers on tap, too, just update the whiteboard.
Anyone think of anything else to bring?
I've got a small SUV and can haul some kegs. I can give you a ride too, but I've never been to the Brew-BQ (but I do have a GPS if we have an address.)
People can drop kegs off at my house Friday night or Saturday morning and/or we can meet at 3rd BB Saturday if that is easier.

Good Work Tony.lets rally.. I’m all ready pumped! I got the grease board, easal, markers, t-shirts. I’ll work up a sign up sheet.
One thing we will need again is a cash box of sorts for change for the shirt sales.
I like the idea of the numbers! easier than trying to rename the taps, the grease board will be easy to change. And I like Chinese foods and I like to order by the number for that as well.

D .. you might want to add a - inbetween the names as you did with the apocolypse..it reads better in most cases otherwise it might seem more confusing
Fyi... I love some of these names...were going to run out of grease board space.
Great turn out...should be a blast

I just went checking on their website to send info to a buddy and stumbled across this tidbit:
There’s a bike ride, demonstrations of home brewing and the culinary arts, great country-rock with Lonesome Road and blues with our house band Bob Dorr and the Blue Band. Great food, great music, a great day! Check out http://www.celebrateindee.com/brew/ for all goings on! Or call for more information 319-361-3126.
11:30 - 1:30 ~ Home Brew Seminar
They aren't expecting us to put on this demo are they?
Derek, I assume that there isn't going to be an issue with the number of folks that we're bringing and the whole paid ticket thing like IA Fest? But, we should bring our own glasses and not take the commenerative ones that come with the paid admissions?
If we're not pouring beers until 3pm, do we want to meet up for the drive up at say 1pm at the far west end of the 3rd Base parking lot (so we're not hogging the real parking spaces)?

Barbeque Judging
Judging... if anyone is interested in judging the barbeque competition there's a spot or two available. Judging will be from 12:15 to 1. Anyone interested?
I think Tim did this last year (and brought some extras back to share with after the judging).

Tony, they are pretty cool about tickets admission, I wouldn’t sweat it. But feel free to bring your own glass, although I believe we got a few from them last year. Frankly I have so many tasting glasses from events, I’m wouldn’t even be able to spot it.
Last year we did do a small demo or more of a talk about brewing, no one actually brewed. Just brought up some ingredients and equipment. Since no one has mentioned this to me, I was assuming CRAZE was conducting this time around.
Lastly, I agree, since the event isn’t till 3pm we probably don’t need to get there until 1pm to set things up, and with the amount of folks going and this being our second run, I think we should be able to speed through fairly quickly.

CRAZE is putting on the homebrew demonstration at 11:30.
Jim has mentioned getting up there early to get the prime real estate. There's one small shelter with a concrete pad (assuming it's in the same location as last year), but worst case, we'll set up in the grass and there'll be canopies.
Tickets and glasses will not be an issue. They want this to be a positive experience for us. If you are a Beer Nuts member and are bringing or pouring beer, they'll let you in and provide you with a glass. If you want to bring your own, that's cool too.
Is there anything we need the Brew-B-Q to provide for us other than shade and ice? Do we need a tub or two to hold ice?
