I have a British Pub Ale I can bring.

Dunno about schedule yet.

I have a full 5 gallon keg of brown ale I will bring that I have dubbed Dumb Bastard. It is the BN last clone of Stone Arrogant Bastard except, I was brewing with guests which may have been a slight distraction. I printed the recipe for 6 gallons and was just doubling everything which was fine to make a double batch. The "Dumb" part entered when I did not double all the hops. Basically ended up with a strong Brown Ale that is now being dry hopped to add some of that hop character. The original recipe did not use any dry hops. Seems to be turning in to a nice beer.

I am going to drop off the keg at Benz on Friday night as I have other obligations on Saturday that will lead to me arriving late at Benz. I plan to stay to help with clean-up. Also, this will be my first time at the event. What is the protocall for Beer Nuts to enter? Is it free, need to pay, or just don't ask?

As long as you're working (and I use that term pretty loosely) they don't mind you just walking in.

That said, these guys are really nice to us, so we try to only have free entry for people who actually bring beer or pour.

Sounds good. Bring beer, get beer. Kind of how it should be and I understand, let's not abuse the system.

Yep. If you talk to the people at the gate and tell them who you are they'll give you a glass and tickets too. (We do abuse the tickets though.)

The 5 gallons of Belgian Pale Ale that I promised in March, turned out nice. I'll bring it Friday night.

Tom, I saw you posted something about droping off Friday night, but can't find it now, is there a time that we need to shoot for for drop off, like after 5 or something like that. Since they are going in there cooler?

Thanks all.

What time are we setting up and are they providing ice?

Benz provides the ice.

Some folks are coming earlier, but I plan to get there about 11:30-ish.

Weather forecast doesn't look too pleasant.

Posted in the members only. Yep, Matt said we could put them in the walkin cooler on Friday. Later is probably better then early.
