So there is 18 days left until benz fest and not a word on building the tap box since APRIL 8th!! Does anyone have any idea on a construction schedule? Has it already started?

Thanks,

Clint Larrison

We talked about it at the meeting.  Not much has been done.  I intended to knock it out last week while I was on vacation, but I wound up watching a sick kid instead.

So I'll probably burn another couple days of vacation to get it done this week.  If you've still got some wood you wanted to donate, shoot me a message, and we can work out when and where.

That's assuming that I don't come down with strep, too.

Bar Plans

Here's a sketch of the plans, for your viewing pleasure.

The sides are hinged, to store flat.

Everything bolts together with carriage bolts and hanger bolts.

Whew!

Finally making some progress on the woodworking front. The panels have all been cut, and I'm in the process of making the bar top.

I'd like some volunteers!

1. Can someone "refurbish" the tap box. This means cleaning the sucker up, removing the old bits of hose from the shanks, and installing new lines.

2. We need a top cover made for the tap box. I think Tom volunteered. I'll post the measurements tomorrow.

3. I need four of the following frames made (see the picture). I can do them, but if someone else wants to knock them out, it would be nice. That way I can focus on finishing (varnishing) the rest. If I make them, I'll use scraps of plywood. But I don't care what they're made out of. They need to be rigid, so some angle irons or braces might be needed (use your own judgement).

Thanks!

I'm in the middle of redoing my pond this weekend. If you post the measurements for the tap cover I should be able to get that made this week.

Jim, I don’t see any image for the frames. I think I might be able to help with those, can you send me the pic or diagram directly to my email.

Jim,

Before I volunteer to refurbish the tap box, do we have new beer line or are you looking for someone to provide it? I'm willing to clean, rebuild, etc, the taps and install new lines, but I don't have any spare hose...

I have the oak 1x4's you need. However i make no claim to be a carpenter, but would be willing to assist in any way to make the 1x4 frames you need. i am available any day to do this. PM me to set up a time to take care of this when you are ready.

I will donate 100' of beer line to the club for this project. I need to go to rapids and pick it up.

Also Jim, I am going to go this week and get the fittings to build the gas manifold. I may need to get a check from you for that.

Jim/Tim,
Can I pick up the tap box and beer line tonight or tomorrow night? If tonight doesn't work, I was thinking of heading to 3BB tomorrow night to try the new wit and we could meet there. Let me know what works best.

Let me know if there is anything that I can help with the tap box. I should be available on Saturday to help. Just let me know what is needed. Dave

I do not have the line yet. I will have to go buy it.
