I'll have my pump you can use at the bridge meeting point so inflation shouldn't take too long. Besides, at Beer Camp there is nor hurry.

Ted, with that much wood I may leave mine at home or I will need to do some splitting tonight in this heat.

Travis, I talked to the Anderson's, they both had some other prior commitments and were bummed they can't make it this year. I will mostly miss the potato gun.

I'm not sure what size or duration of fire you will want out there but I'll pack a bunch of it.

No need to split any more tonight. Mine has been split and dried for over 2 years.

Beer Camp was fantastic! It was a great day to be out in the water, some good laughs, night time bocce ball, and the only injuries I know of is some odd shaped sun burns.

Thanks Matt for helping pitch in to organize this, and of course thanks to all that made it out and made this such a fun event!

I had a good time. Looking for a little feedback from participants either this year or in the past. I am considering we use a different site at the same campground. I really like the isolation we get at camp #7 but thinking the float trip would be a lot better if we had campsite #1 with water access. That is the first site you see when you enter the group camp area that was jam packed this weekend. It also has electric hookups. It costs $16/unit at that site due to the electric. That would mean we can float right to camp and have no worries abour moving vehicles.

I really like the current location due to it's privacy. this time most of those "lower" sites were full, so we'd potentially have tons of people in close proximity and lots of poeple driving by. I noticed that all the cars down there were caked in dust from the traffic going by. We probably wouldn't have gotten away with midnight bocce ball without the rangers or other campers complaining.

Getting out of the water at the campsite is a nice perk, I'm just not sure it's worth it. We still end up needing someone sober to either shuttle us around or get us back to cars. Electric is no big deal for me on an overnight camp.

From last year, I would have rather been at camp site #1 for several reasons.

1) To get out at the campsite makes for a nice day as you do not have to worry about getting back to the site from where you get out of the water.

2) Power would be really nice to have for portible coolers, radios, lights, so on.

$4 more would be worth it. Box fans for sleeping and crock pots for slow cooked foods would be nice benefits of power.

I liked the privacy of #7. For my version of camping, I don't see the need for electricity. The sites by the river look to be a big cluster/zoo, and would be a lot noisier in the morning when trying to sleep off a hangover. I didn't float, but I do see the value of not driving after the float.
