Sigh.. have to run down there twice, eh? What a PITA.. okay.. I'm busy Thursday but I'll put an "appointment" into the work calendar and come in 45 minutes early to make up for it.. after work likely isn't going to happen... I had to shift stuff around to make tomorrow's meeting as it is... two weeks in a row won't happen.

The entry fee is still $30 and the T-Shirt size stuff will be done at drop off/pickup? Correct? 2 cornys with toe tags (and a bit of StarSan in them) okay?

It's going to be a LONG night Friday, especially if I am going to do with it what I am thinking... maybe plans will change..

Corney kegs, plastic buckets, or plastic carboys should all work just fine.

Make sure your vessels are well-labeled with your name.

We do not want to use glass containers to transfer the wort.

Sigh. Everything is hitting the same weekend like usual when it starts to get warm around here.

I do want to do this, of course. It's almost impossible to work into the schedule though. I can do this if I can get all of my crap together-- the logistics, the equipment the $$$, the right attitude.. whatever.. but I need to schedule that Thursday to Sunday almost hourly to get everything done. So yeah, I'm bitching a bit but I just want to nail down all the details so I can just get it effing done.

If fact not having to mash will probably mean I have enough time to get something in the fermentation chamber for the first time since 2/21 when I started my Helles attempt. I am actually pretty grateful that this is happening as for the first time ever I might have a tap remain dry for several weeks in the keezer.

$30 still right? Pay the entry at drop off or pickup? Still approx 2 months to pickup so if, say someone wanted to up the gravity a bit, it could work?

I'll bitch more about it tonight at the meeting.. ;)

Below, is the list of Beer Nut brewers participating in next week's wort rally. Your $30 entry fee will get you 10 gallons of wort and a commemorative T-Shirt.

To avoid the Eventbrite processing fee of $2.64, I made the call that the club will be the go-between and make a single check payment to Lion Bridge to pay for our participation - saving our members a total of $55.44!!!!

So if your name is on this list, and you have decided NOT to participate - PLEASE PM me ASAP and I can take your name off of the list. Otherwise, you are committing to pay the Club $30.

In the next day or two, our Treasurer Dan White will post here, the methods whereby you can pay your entry fee.

There are nine remaining slots, feel free to tell your non-member friends if they are interested, they can register through Eventbrite. I have sent e-mails to CRAZE, MUGZ, REFS, and THIRSTY.

IF YOU ARE NOT ON THE LIST AND WANT TO PARTICIPATE - grab a slot on Eventbrite for $32.64, to guarantee a slot. But please let me know, so that I get you on this list.

This is going to be a really cool event, I am really looking forward to the pour event in June.

i was reading back through this thread for all the pertinent information and came across this post.

are there requirements on this wort rally such as being an AHA member?
were there any other requirements like this that need reiterated?

This is opened first to club members, extra spots may be filled by the public or other clubs.

This is not an AHA nor will it qualify for the pro-am, so membership to AHA isn't required.

With regard to GABF, with the short time period to pull this off beginning in April, there just was not enough time to guarantee pulling together all of the requirements necessary to get qualifying submissions.

But, that can be a growth opportunity for next year.
