Update, Dave is actually dropping off the beer today. Dave is bringing 3 of his kegs as well.

Description: This beer is intensely aromatic (notes of anise, coffee, vanilla, molasses and alcohol) heavy on the palate...expect this mysterious brew to pour like used motor oil and taste even heavier. The bitterness is well balanced with sweetness. Great dessert beer.

Oh, one other thing.

Barleywine can be tapped for the event.
Chocolate stout - only 2 gallons, need to server as special release
RIS - you can serve as special release but since we are doing the same with the other RIS, we don't have to server it at all. It was brought down as a back-up keg if we run out.

People in attendance for event for pouring Beer and discussing the Brewed Beer. I think a car pool down on Sat would be good and I would like to ge there by 1:30 to get the kegs setup so they can sit...even a little movement can mess them up.

This is Barry, the last meeting was my first time with the club. Anyways, I want to come this weekend for the tasting but dont know how to get tickets for the event? Do I just contact Millstream? I think I might have 6 other people that want to come too.

Barry, yes last I heard there were only a few tickets left if you have that big of a group, and do call, Teresa sometimes takes a day or two on returning emails.

Imperial IPA
Original Gravity 1.104
Alcohol by Volume 10.75%
Brewers: Jeremy Orchuk

Description:
A simple Imperial IPA built with a combination of Briess 2-Row brewers Malt w/ a dash of Victory malt to add a little complexity and color. This Brownish/Red brew comes built with 3 plentiful additions of Simco hops. The hop built bring this beer in at an IBU (International Bittering Units) to the low 90's. The beers comes across on the pallet on the malty side with strong bitter notes, then finishes with a warm follow through and leaving the Simco on your pallet to linger.



3rd Horseman of the apocalypse
Belgian Dark Strong Ale
Original Gravity 1.107
Alcohol by Volume 12.5%
Brewers: Jeremy Orchuk

Description:
A complex Belgian ale, built with a combination of Pilsner and pale malt as the base. Then Munich, aromatic, and wheat malt is added to give it the bready, malty, Belgian quality to the beer with solid head retention. Combinations of different sugars are used to both give a gravity boost to the beer and a caramelized taste to the finish. Noble hop varieties are presented in this ale to balance out the malty sweetness of this classic dark Belgian ale.

Awesome folks!! Many thanks for getting me the info for the flyer.

No sweat on the double RIS - they are different and can be special pours at different times. Or, we could offer up a "side-by-side" tasting to show off their differences?

Car pool might work, if someone has a vehicle big enough for us and whatever equipment we need to take down on Saturday.

Who all is coming to Benz tonight? If most of us are there, we can discuss details then. If not, maybe a get together at 3B tomorrow night as Plan B?

Tom B - I'm still planning on bring my beer and your CO2 tank (and wrench) tonight to Benz.

Sorry I couldn't make Benz to drop off my beer. It wasn't carbonated enough, anyway. I've got it with me today, so if anyone can meet at 3rd base, I can drop it off. And drink some of Travis's creations.

Anyone care to post tasting notes on the Benz whiskey tasting. Or is that whisky? I can never keep that straight.

I agree, it would be nice if everyone who is bringing beer to the millstream could meet at 3rd base to talk about things to make sure we have everything we need covered. Signs, equipment, dress, expectations, etc.

I can meet there about 6:45 if others can make it.

I will not be driving down to Amama again so if someone else is going down, I think there are still 3 or 4 kegs that need to be delivered.

I'll be at 3B tonight. I will get there around 6-ish.

Don't know if Tom B was taking the beers down to Amana today or tomorrow. PM him to make arrangements.

Still have a couple of loose ends to finish up on the Flyer. Big T, is that braggot in or out? Need some kind of description. Talked to Tom B last night and we decided that IF the Farmhouse Ale makes an appearance, it will be as an "unannounced special."

One last thing; and I wish that I had thought to post this earlier, everyone donating beer for Saturday, do you have some held back that could be brought to the Club meeting next Thursday? If not, maybe someone could bring their beer gun and a few empty bombers to fill on Saturday? It would be great to have a "mini tasting" for the Club for those that won't be there this Saturday.

My daugther has Cello tonight from 5:30 - 6:30 on South side of town.
