Crisp Maris Otter for me. Bummed about the GP but the Crisp I got last year was pretty fantastic.

Grain order sent to Travis at Turner Alley this morning. His is a copy of the spreadsheet. Grand totals with shipping and tax to follow once available.

I got a quote from Travis. I drop off a check today and the order gets placed. Grain likely to be here next week. Details on when/how to get grain will be posted later. Likely just come during tap room hours.

You do have to pay for your grain so I attached a document with your grand total. First two pages are what you ordered and last page has your total cost. Totals also posted below. Shipping and two pallets worked out to be 7.725195% of the total. This was the percentage used to calculate your share of the shipping based on cost. Basically shipping is less than $3/sack of grain so not bad IMO. Some prices did change. Most changes were to a lower price. For example, Rahr 2-Row is $28 instead of $29. That is a good quality cheap base malt!

Eric Benda $236.89
Cal Corrin $63.02
Matt Franklin $72.82
Mike Hora $72.23
Josh Jensen $223.21
Mark Jensen $93.18
Kurt Kraus $306.53
Clint Larrison $48.58
Andrew Maixner $258.75
Daryl McCall $88.87
Pat McCullough $120.22
Pat McCusker $382.14
Lee Paulsen $77.56
Josh Peanasky $42.07
Jason Potratz $142.79
Nick Scherbaum $110.49 (includes annual club dues of $20)
Travis Spears $255.38 (includes annual club dues of $20)
Fred Spinner $90.65
Dan White $72.23
Chris Zubak $129.70

payment sent.

Maybe we will want to split shipping by "unit / bag" next time instead of price, so that something like 50lb of PBW doesn't get charged as much as 250lb of 2row. (still a good deal, regardless)

Maybe. Wanted to do by weight but some items did not have a total weight available. At 7.725% I treated it like a tax which is close to the current tax rate. I can tell you this is possibly the lowest rate we have paid for shipping to date. We have been charged up to $5 a sack in the past. This was cleanest way to do it.

Like you said, still a good deal. With shipping PBW was $10.43 for shipping this time. Still a good price and makes it only $2.90 per pound. You can get it locally for $6.69 per pound in an 8 lbs. container. I feel you still got a fair deal.

Payment options are as follows:

Dwolla: Send to: treasurer@crbeernuts.org

Cash or Check at the meeting (or contact me and I can get your money).

Square:
We will add 2.75% to your order to cover the fees, I expect this will be a couple dollars; but could add up to a couple hundred for the club. This isn't a 'cost of doing business' for the club, so we'll pass it on to the members in this case
Your options are to pay at the meeting using the card reader; or I will invoice you through square online. Please PM me if you would like an online invoice
dwolla is easiest IMO, once you have your checking account linked -- and is free, and a lot of local government stuff (vehicle registration, property tax) is starting to accept it.

So remind me again when the next meeting is? Next week sometime, right? Iowa Brewing company, right? I want to pay cash again as I don't want the wife to see it! :) ....and I have no other reason to do Dwolla.

Thanks,

Fred

Meeting is not until July 21 (3rd Thursday of every month except December or some kind of major conflict like local NHC) at Iowa Brewing Company. When we have pick up details maybe someone in the cabinet will be available to collect cash at pickup. We will figure something out. Cash is King! I too will be paying cash.

Paid. I'm not going to be in town next week. Is it OK if I don't puck up until the week of 18th?
