Thought this was kind of cool.
While I was at the conference visiting the hosiptality suite on the first or second day, I stopped by the Wyeast counter to pick up some beer swag. There was a lady working the booth.
They had shirts that were good quality for only $10. So I asked her if they had size "fat guy" as I always do. She said that she did not put the items together and the guys working the warehouse put the stuff together and only put in sizes sm, med, Lg (kind of crazy for a beer convention, as almost everyone has a beer gut). I guess she could see my disappointment in this, so she asked for my name and address and shirt preferances and told me she would sent me one. I kind of figured "yeah right", that that would go no where.
When I got home last night there was a box on the front steps from Wyeast with a "We got your number!" (a shirt that says We got your number and lists all their yeast strains no seasonals on it), Wyeast shirt in it, with my color and size preferences and a note that read. "Hope you recovered from the conference, here's a shirt for you" on a sticky placed on a business card.
Big kudo's to Wyeast for keeping their word, I would say that I am now going to make them my yeast of choice, however, I can't do that as they already are my yeast of choice. Just, thought that was way cool and thought I would share.
