Yes, how about Tuesday? If that day works let me know a time like right after work or later in the evening. I am tied up with the kids Wednesday. I do not need any hops or yeast. I will bring you some barley flakes. For anyone else that may need barley flakes you can grab them at the meeting Thursday night.

Sounds good. I will post if that time doesn't work. I have to verify with my calendar at home/wife.

Due to several of the people brewing the RIS for the Templeton Barrel having to wait for the millstream grain order to come in I am going to go ahead and push the barrel fill date back to Saturday April 9th, 2011.

Barrel Fill Data: Saturday April 9th, 2011

Does this present a problem for anyone who is participating?

Brewed my 10 gallons last night. That is about the sweetest wort I have ever tasted. SG was 1.120 so pretty close.

What time should we do the barrel fill? I have first aid training at Kirkwood that saturday morning but the afternoon should be clear.

I brewed my 5 gallons on Sunday. My SG was 1.114 on my hydrometer and 1.110 on my refractometer so I'm in the ballpark. I agree, the wort was really sweet.

Completion.

I've cold crashed mine after a 3-day diacetyl rest -- I'll try to take some FG readings tonight and post my relative attenuation. Assuming we're all using the same grain bill and mash duration, we should see about the same attenuation.

Mine finished at 1.030 which is right within the style guidelines. Didn't taste overly sweet at FG either.

Mine attenuated 77%.

OG - 1.102 (boil-off was a little low)
FG - 1.023

Both OG & FG were checked with a refractometer & hydrometer.

John - what was your attenuation?

CJ -- do you care how we transport the beer? I'd prefer to just use carboys and skip dirtying a couple of kegs.

Attenuation...um1.102 to 1.030. Around 70% I think? I never figure attenuation as long as it's within guidelines.

Mine is bubbling like a banshee at 67F. Glad I went with the blowoff tube. I will post where it finished when I have the info. Will need 75% attenuation to get to 30 which should be achievable.
