JANUARY MEETING
Club Meeting
We discussed the holiday party which was deemed a success by all who attended. Thanks to Jim for hosting.
Specialty comp judges were selected,
The next competition is sweet mead.
We have a new barrel from Templeton. Storage of the barrel was discussed Jeremy Orchuck is going to store and maintain our barrel for the immediate future.
Members will be able to vote on the forum for a RIS recipe for the barrel
We will need 60 gallons of RIS for this project
There was discussion about people who put beer in the barrel being able to take it out, it was agreed that they would
Grain Order
Grain orders were turned in
Tom Burns is coordinating the order and pick up, there were several volunteers to help pick up
When the grain order comes in, you will need to pay for it and pick it up in short time
BYO subscription
It is time to order BYO subscriptions again. Anyone interested needs to let Travis know and will need to pay for it in advance
subscription cost will be $14
Badges are coming
Tap Box
Pottsy, Tom Burns, Brian Anderson are the official committee to make the tap box. Members interested in working on the box should coordinate with them.
Plans will be submitted to cabinet members and then to the club at a meeting in the near future
Tech meeting
Ideas for next meeting were discussed,
First Wednesday of every month
Jeremy will continue to host for the time being
February Meeting
Need a location for the February meeting
Fleck's new distributor
Potential Fundraiser serving beer at grocery store tastings and similar events
may be an opportunity for the club to raise money
Other fundraisers were discussed, and members were encouraged to submit fund raising ideas.
