Bell's Oberon 2011 Release Party
Spring is almost here, and that means it's time for one of our favorite summer seasonal ales to return! Every spring, the city of Kalamazoo, Michigan celebrates the release of Oberon American Wheat Ale from their prized Bell's Brewery. They take off work, rally the troops, and join together for "Oberon Day", where everyone does what? You guessed it--drinks nothing but Oberon in a community generated festival of Spring/Summer anticipation.
After learning of this, we here at Reds decided this would be a perfect reason to kick off patio season and a summe r of drinking great craft beer by hosting our very own "Oberon Day"! On March 29th, Reds will be the first place in Iowa to tap Oberon, and if the weather permit s we will have the patio open and ready to rock!
Let it be known, this isn't intended to be a formal affair. We want you to bring the excitement and enthusiasm! $2 Oberon pints will be flow ing all day and night! If you come in wearing Oberon Blue & Orange (more than just a handkerchief) we'll get you your first pint on the house. We will also be giving away free stuff from Bell's like t-shirts, glassware, stickers, etc., and Shane will be incorporating Oberon into some great food specials as well!

ONE DAY ONLY, PEOPLE! Bring your family, friends, and the guy you see walking down the street on your way in. We want this to be a full-fledged Oberon-guzzling preamble to a kick-ass summer of great food, great friends, great weather, and as always, great beer.
