I brewed five gallons of America Brown Ale this past Saturday night replacing the brewing water with maple sap collected from three trees on my property. The recipe usually has an OG of 1.058. With the sugar from the sap it was 1.070. Should be interesting. I will bring some to the April meeting if it is ready, otherwise it will be there in May if its not gone already. I have four realtives of drinking age from Texas staying with me for a few days at the end of April. The beer supplies tend to dwindle during their visits.

Beer turned out great! Malty and flavorful brown ale. I will bring some soon if there is any left. Polished off two kegs of pale ale, one hefe and almost all of the maple sap brown ale. Almost everyone found something they preferred. Once again for most, it was the hoppy pale ales.
