Just arrived @ Benz. Haven't opened them yet, as they just got put into the fridge. But, you just gotta love SA for doing this. It's just so damned cool.

I don't remember the specifics, but they were all good. They were out in WI a couple weeks ago.

Just finished the Black Hops (Black IPA). Very nice. Good balance between the dark malts and the hops.

I've tried a bottle of all three now. My favorite was the Blackened Hops, though I'd tilt this more towards an American Stout in my opinion. It had way more dark malt character than I expected since many have called this an India Black Ale (or whatever your preferred named for that "style" is). Nice roasted and even some chocolate notes were balanced by a solid hop charge.

I was also quite surprised by the Honey B's Lavender ale. Not sure if I would want to drink it every day, but it was surprisingly good. The honey and lavender were very up front, but I was expecting it to be too sweet. It actually finished fairly dry which really surprised me. Way more quaffable than I expected.

The Friar Hop ales was also good, but just didn't stand out as much for me.
