I'm taking a trip next week to Torrance, CA (just south of LA). Does anyone have any beer bar/restaurant/brewery recommendations for that area?

I have a couple, but they're on the north side.
Tony's Darts Away in Burbank was really cool, All CA brews, great bartender.

Blue Palms in Hollywood is a legend.

They both post their tap list online.

How long are you there? There is a great place in Redondo Beach called Naja's Place. I stayed in Torrance at a Residence Inn that was across the street from a Bev Mo. I walked from the hotel to Naja's Place which was a couple miles. It is a nice area and a safe walk. Naja's place is at a pier right on the beach. The entire bar is open to the walk area next to the docks. Very good beer prices for LA and they know their stuff. Lots of locals and it is a beer place. Not a poser beer bar that is all upscale and crap. Too many of these places popping up in California. The patrons here know beer. One of the brewers from the Bruery was hanging out there when I was there. Food is regular pub food but good. Beer selection is fantastic! Had a 2008 Rodenbach Grand Cru, a couple of Black IPAs, a fantastic bourbon barrel Imperial Porter from Deschutes and then I forgot the others for some reason. 88 taps of very good beer.

I hit Tony's Darts Away and it is awesome! Problem is that is way North of Torrance in Burbank. Blue Palms is good too but if I was in Torrance I would hit Naja's. LA is a crappy place to drive around on a beer buzz.

Also, the Naja's Place website updates a photo of there beer list on a marker board frequently on their website.

I totally agree, find a place close by, that Naja's looks like a winner.

Thanks for the info -- I'm staying at a Crowne Plaza that is within stumbling distance (i.e. around 1/2 mile) of Naja's Place.

I think you mean "...will crawl that far."

Here's where i found most of the info i used while out there. They have an app for Android that has a LA city map. Just search the marketplace.
