Road trip to Dubuque

I know this is really last minute, but I'm thinking of making a run up to Dubuque Thursday. I had originally wanted to go Saturday but it looks like I'll be cutting up downed trees this weekend. There's a slight chance I could go Friday but I'm waiting to hear from a buddy who's helping with trees to see if he's available Friday or not.
I plan to stop at Bluff Street Brewing Supplies and also Family Liquor in East Dubuque. If anyone wants to tag along let me know. I could probably bring back some requests (either place) as long as they're reasonable.

If you get yeast at Bluff Street, check the manufactured date before you buy. I bought one two weeks ago and it was manufactured at the end of February. It worked fine but there was a long lag before the starter finally got kicking and the Wyeast package did not swell much at all. The primary fermentation went fine, but it took a day longer waiting for the starter to go.

The oldest yeast I got there today was the Saison yeast, which was dated April 12th. I plan to use that within a week so it should be OK. The Hefe yeast was May 16th and the Kolsh was June 28th. The guy seemed cool. He said he does sell bags of grains. Prices weren't bad either. Not as cheap as our group buy but comparable to online. 2-row was $45/bag, Muntons Maris Otter was more like $65 if I remember, but again pretty comparable by the time you factor in shipping.
Family Beer & Liquor (that name still makes me laugh) was pretty good. They had a good selection of Stone and others. He's trying to get more Firestone Walker. Right now they have bombers of Walker's Reserve Porter and Double Jack. Besides those two beers, here's the rest of today's score:
Stone: Cali Belgique, Sublimely Self-Righteous, Levitation, IPA
Founders: Cerise, Red's Rye, Centenial IPA
Smuttynose:IPA, Big A IPA, Old Brown Dog, Robust Porter, Shoals PA
Other: Lost Coast Downtown Brown, Victory Storm King, Prima Pils, Lagunitas Undercover, Hoppin' Frog Black and tan, Hoppin' Frog Boris the Crusher.
As always, I had to leave a lot of good choices behind, such as Green Flash, Port Brewing, Lost Abbey etc. I almost bought a bottle of Angel's Share but it's too expensive.

Mine too. I would have bought more of it but I've got more botles than I can drink right now...I know, big problem. Anyone want to come out and help me drink some beer?
