I have never done the ebay thing. I do trade beers frequently. And I will continue to do that. How else am I supposed to taste rare and special beers not available in the midwest.

I think trading is all good. The brewers do that themselves. They just don't like to see this huge mark up eBay thing and also don't like their product being put out there in a way that makes the beer bad like poor packaging.

Without beer trading we would have hardly any sours!

My big thing is I can't believe that there is a market out there that will yeild $1000.00 for a beer. That is rediculous, I would never pay that much for a bottle (not even close).

While out at NHC in SD, I bought a bottle for $30.00 and still at that felt bad about parting with 30 bucks for a bottle.

I think $1000 is nonsense, and I would bet no one paid that. That said, I don't see any difference between spending 100 on a rare beer, and spending 100 on a bottle of wine.
