Brewing all-grain American Light Lager on Saturday

Post by JimF »

First off, for those wondering why I would brew an American Light Lager; I'm doing it for my family for Thanksgiving. Normally they drink Natural Light, or if they are in the mood for something special, Miller Light. (It's triple hopped you know!)

Anyway, if you want to stop by and have a beer and watch me brew on your way to the hockey game or wherever, I'll probably start around noon.

Yeah, I'm bummed that it I can't be there. I think my wife fractured her vertebra on purpose so I'd have to stay home and take care of her.

Speaking of unreasonable, demanding women....
It's my wife's birthday. Pretty sure my going to a tailgate/hockey game would not meet approval.

I just got my shipment tracking notice from Fedex of the ingredients for my Saturday brew and it won't be here until Saturday, sometime... Does anyone have 1 lb of flaked rice and 1 oz of Hallertau pellet hops to loan me until my order arrives?

If someone offers up some flaked rice, I'd like to get your hops. Otherwise I'll just start brewing after Fedex shows up.

Fedex got here early, so I'm all set to start brewing at noon.
