No Hops!!!

Post by johnnyik »

I have been planning my brewing for this next year and want to do a build up from session pale ale up to DIPA. I just tried to find Simcoe, Amarillo, and Centennial leaf hops and they are sold out almost everywhere!! I managed to get a pound each of Amarillo and Centennial at NB but no Simcoe anywhere! Does anyone have any? Has anyone found anywhere to buy them this year?

I have simcoe. probably around 4 oz
Bad people drink bad beer. You don't usually see an empty bottle of Rochefort tossed onto the side of the road

Niko Brew has Simcoe pellets in 2 oz. packs for $5. They also have $5 flat rate shipping. I didn't see any leaf hops though.

Freshops.com has whole leaf simcoe but you are limited to 1 pound.

And unfortunately Freshops jacked the price up to 2.30 an oz. I paid 1.60 just a few weeks ago.

Update!! Bought 12oz of Simcoe hops from Williams Brewing. They were $9.90 for 6oz so not bad on price, $1.65 an ounce. For all the hop heads out there, better stock up on those proprietary hops as the craft brewers are snatching them up as fast as they are grown!!
