beer envy

Post by DrPaulsen »

I got this text from my brother-in-law today. The Mitten is a local bar in my hometown that only serves Michigan craft beer.

"Hopslam in a firkin and Canadian Breakfast stout with pancakes on Saturday at The Mitten!"

Anyone up for a road trip?

It takes 7 - 8 hours, depending on stops & Chicago traffic. Without little kids in the car, I think it could be done in 6.5 hrs.

I should offer the caveat that I'm only half serious about the road trip. I don't think I have enough marital capital to spend right now for a multi-day beer-based road trip.

I also lack the marital capital for that one. My luck it would snow heavily and my wife would get stuck in my driveway.

Single Matt threw a sleeping bag and cooler in the car and has crossed the state line in to Illinois already. Of course, single Matt would probably already be dead.

It's probably a good thing single Matt and single Tim never met.
You can't get with this with a bad hip - Matt
