Possible Bourbon County Tasting at 3rd base
Hey y'all,
I just had a talk with Chad Young. He's the craft beer guy at 7G distributing. He's good people. Anyway... He got in some good Goose Island stuff that he isn't going to sell in stores. It will only be available at events like this:
It would be a tasting of Bourbon County Coffee, Bourbon County Bramble Rye, Lolita, and one or two others that haven't been decided (but would just be cherry on the cake). We would host it here at the pub and block off the back room. There would be some fee (I'm sure it would be somewhere under $1000) and you would get to sample all four or five. Probably a 6 or 7 ounce pour of each. Not sure when, or what day of the week. It probably wouldn't be a weekend. Maybe like a Wednesday night or something.
Just wondering what kind of interest we would get. I said I'm sure y'all would be very interested but thought I better ask just in case. We'd have a sign up sheet and invite X number of first comers to taste some rare beer. It would of course be open to anyone but you are and will be the first to hear of it.
Chad only gets a very small quantity of these beers and he said he'd rather do events like this with people he knows will appreciate it rather than selling it at only a couple grocery stores. I think it's a pretty good plan.
So.... thoughts?
Cheers,
Travis

Awesome, thanks for the quick responses. So now I'm sure there is interest. I'm shocked.
Lets start, somehow, an RSVP list. I guess this thread could count just fine. I need to have a good idea of how many of you guys/gals might show up so I know how much beer to buy. And "all of it" doesn't count as a suggestion. Believe me, I already tried.

I’m in for two spots maybe three if I can teach my foot to hold a glass.
