Why am I giving away free hockey tickets? Saturday night (March 10th) is the annual Peoples' Church Sisterhood Dinner (a longstanding tradition where the men take over the kitchen from the women and cook a super nice dinner - a throwback to the ERA movement in the '70's! If you're under 45 years old, Google it!) Yours truly is one of the Executive Chefs for this dinner and will be busy both nights in the kitchen. Hence, the reason the hockey tickets are up for grabs!
Which brings me to the next item - tickets for the church dinner. After being seriously disappointed in the Sean Paxton dinner at NHC last year (after all the hype from NHC in Minneapolis the year before), and knowing that I could do better, I decide that for this year's Sisterhood dinner, I'd prove it (mostly to myself). Not only is ALL the food in this dinner made with beer and/or beer ingredients, like Sean's menu, plus I brewed all the beers that will be served with the meal - Firestone Walker Pale 31, Janet's Brown Ale (Tasty's recipe), & Southern Tier Creme Brulee Milk Stout. Take that, Sean! If you are interested in this gastronomical extravaganza, PM me and I'll get you tickets ($25 each in advance, $30 at the door.) Last word that I had was that we only have about 20 tickets left.
