Omaha Beer Fest and Home Brewer Expo

Post by carrisr »

We've been invited to attned and pour our beers at the Omaha Beer Fest and Homebrew Expo. The beer fest runs on Friday, May 18th and Saturday the 19th. The Homebrew Expo portion is Friday only. We're one of 5 or so clubs they've invited along with IBU. This is the Friday after Benz Beer Fest.

We need to know how many people would want to attend or send beer so we can let them know if we have enough people/beer to make a good showing. They need an answer from us as soon as possible.

There are going to be a good number of commercial breweries there such as Boulevard, Green Flash, Lagunitas, Odell, and many others. Event info can be found at:
http://www.omahabeerfest.com

Please let us know your interest ASAP. Thanks!

I was really excited for this one. But my brother is graduating from high school this weekend. I'm out.

I'm tentatively in. I'm suppose to be on business travel most of that week, but I'm gonna try and get out of it.

So far that's two yes and a maybe. I'd like to see 3-4 people who can commit. What we need even more is for people who will be willing to send beer. So if you can'ta attend but can send some beer please post. I need to get back to the event soon so they know if we are coming or not.

You can add a "maybe" to the list for attending.  I need to work out the details.  I can supply a keg of beer, regardless.

Have we made a decision on this? As much as I really want to go, I don't want to go if we can't do it up right. We only need a couple people to go, but we need beer. I understand that the timing of it is bad for us.

Kent,
I notified her today that we don't have enough people nor beer offers to make it work. I thanked her for the invite and said we'd like to be considered for next year's event if the date works better.

I got this note back from the event organizer:

"If you have members that would like to attend – please feel free to use the code “homebrewer” to get $10 off admission tickets (regardless of ticket type and quantity)."
