Has anyone here ever used ginger in a beer? I'm thinking of making a summer lemon ginger wheat beer, but have no idea how much ginger to use or when to add it.

i have made a couple of brews with ginger..one was along the lines of your beer... but its been a few years. i will dig through my notes...but i recall it being quite tasty but not sure i have any specifics.

I used ginger in my winter lager. We added 1.0 tsp to the boil for the final 12 minutes in a 10 gallon batch. I hope this helps.
