I just put an ipa on co2 yesterday, so assuming it's carbed and doesn't taste too green I'll enter. Won't know till a bit later in the week.

I will be taking some entries down but I will not be going down till May 5th (the last day). So, if there are any late enteries I would be willing to take them. That Saturday is the start of Maifest in Amana and it is a pretty good time if anyone hasn't gone before. Wurst, Polka Bands, and Beer what more could you ask for??

Winners in the club were:
Clint Larrison - 3rd Place Light Lagers & Pilsners - 2C Classic American Pilsner
Kyle Chapman - 1st Place French Ale - 16C Saison
Matt Franklin - 4th place (yes they gave 4th places) Strong and Imperial Ales - 9E Strong Scotch Ale
Matt Franklin - 1st place Fruit, SHV, Winter/Christmas Beer - 21A Spice, Herb, Vegetable Beer (coffee stout I had a Benz)
Clint Larrison - 2nd place Fruit, SHV, Winter/Christmas Beer - 21B Christmas/Winter Specialty Spiced Beer
Nice work folks. The best in show was a Classic American Pilsner from Ames. Lee, you should have entered yours.

Congrats on the medals, guys!
I thought about entering my CAP, but then I realized I'd get more enjoyment from drinking all of it than winning an award for it. One of these years I'll trust myself enough to make bigger batches of beer and actually save some for competitions.
I find it interesting that the competition had more "Bock" and "Light Lager/Pilsner" entries than "IPAs".

So I submitted a beer for category 10a and on the thirsty results page they only show first place even though there were 12 entries. I wonder if this is an error or if they only awarded first place for American pale ale?

That usually mean two things. One, it is just an error and the rest are not posted which is the most likely case. Second, none of the other entries scored enough points to place which seems doubtful. Even if you are say second place, the beer has to earn enough points to pass a minimum threshold in order to place.

I think you have the wrong Kyle as I have never brewed with Travis.
