The countdown has started for the next meeting at my place this month.

The address is 1722 Chestnut Lane NE. Here's a map.

I plan to have the grill going, so if you want to bring something to throw on, go for it. I will be doing some chicken breasts for sandwiches and a snack or two.

I'll have some Honey Kolsch on Tap-a-Draft to share and maybe a bomber of raspberry/peach wheat.

Hope to see all of you there!! :D

Hi everyone, I can't make the meeting...again. I tore my ACL in my knee Tuesday and can barely move around, just got back from a funeral for my wife's grandma, my mom went to the emergency room last night with a severed artery in her foot and I take my daughter for Kindergarten Orientation tonight.

I need to pay Derek and David for the Madison trip. Let me know how much I owe you so I can get a check to you. You can send my your address in a PM so I can mail to you ASAP.

Have fun,
Matt Franklin

Wow - rough day.

I won't make it either - but my excuse sounds so mundane in comparison I'm just going skip it.

Tony and Karl:

Thanks for hosting the August Meeting. It was a wonderful spread that I wish I could have stuck around for. Good job guys.

BTW - Was the Iowa Festival of Beers that is this coming weekend discussed? Please let me know.

Thanks

Thanks, we had a great time having everyone over. We look forward to doing it again sometime.

We did discuss the Iowa Festival, but not a lot was decided. We do need to get organized - quickly. Who's coming, how long can you stay? How much beer do we plan to bring and what equipment do we need? No one said anything about T-shirts - can we still do them to raise money? Are we printing flyers about the club, sign-up sheets, etc. Who has the banner?

Sorry, but I'm kind of anal when it comes to organizing stuff. Comes from working 25 years at a nuclear plant where we plan work in minute details.

Larry has the banner and will be bringing a beer. I will be bringing the following:
1. Pad of paper for people to sign up to join the club.
2. Pens
3. Quick plastic ties.
4. Plastic picnic tap stands like the ones Mark Rippe made. I think I have around 5 - 6 of them.
5. Picnic tap.
6. Keg of beer. Not the one that I brought to the club meeting since that was fair at best.
7. CO2
8. 4 tap regulator to hook 3 other kegs up to.
9. Easel, white board and markers.
10. Coolers

I think David Ard is bringing a porter and a barley wine. I will also post this on the event forum. All feel free to add what they
