Where to find a stir bar

Post by semanticdm »

Hey all,

I'm working on getting a stir plate set up, but I'm not sure where to go to find a stir bar. Any ideas of some place local I could find one?

Thanks,

First off, get the smaller bars you see in homebrew shops. I had a larger one and my stir plate threw it all the time. Got the small one and it works great.

Secondly, I lost my stir bar, I am guessing down the drain during one of my late night brew sessions so I am looking for a new one too. I called Joe at the new homebrew shop in Marion and he said he planned to get some but had not yet. I don't know of any other place locally that has them.

Joe now has a bunch of stir bars (the smaller ones) in stock as of last weekend.
