Hey all,
Well, I guess it is that time. I am leaving town. I accepted a new job in Virginia and will be leaving in about 3 weeks. Lets get the quick sappy stuff out of the way first.
I have not been to a lot of the brew club meetings lately, so many of the new faces I do not know. However, for those of you who I do, thank you for the warm memories that you send with me on my journey. The beer nuts and the special people in it (yes I mean short bus type special) will be one of in not the largest thing I will miss about Cedar Rapids. When I got here 5 1/2 years ago, we knew no one in town, but the beer nuts welcomed us and we felt instantly as if we had lived here many years.
I hope to keep in tourch with all of you both through the forums and email, and God willing hopefully a couple of trips back to CR for a beer fest or two. I want to wish the club and its membership the best of luck as you move forward through this time of expansion.
Last peice of business, I have been collecting empty bottles for some time now, that have been left after club meetings at my home and though general consumptions. I probably have several cases of each 12 oz and 22 oz bombers that have been de-labeled and cleaned. Are there any non keggers out there who could use some empties. They just need a saniziting and they are ready to fill?
Bottles Anyone?, oh yeah and see ya all later!

At least it's back in the South! If you're in the DC area, that's pretty much my second home these days (there last week and going back next week!), so maybe we can hook up for a brew or 6 sometime!
Gonna miss ya, ya big galloot!
Hope you can make it to the BBQ Throwdown this Saturday for a big send off!!

Actually we are in the DC area, not sure about living accomidations yet, but the job is in Manassas, which is about 30 mins from DC. I will make sure to give you my number and we can explore some of the Beer Bars.tony b wrote:At least it's back in the South! Will try to make it on Saturday, as you can imagine, with only 4 weeks to get prepared (3 weeks left), I am as busy as I can be trying to get things done.
Sorry to see you go. Hope the job is good to you. I feel like you are already gone as I haven't seen you much lately. If I ever travel for work again I may find myself out that direction. Keep in touch!
