Another Corney keg question

Post by jjbuck »

I have apparently stripped the threads of the male out post on two cornies. Can these be replaced or are the kegs now just for parts? I was going to order two new female posts until I looked at the keg under strong lenses and noticed that the threads on the keg were bad.

Are the threads gone or just chewed up? If they're just abused you can re-tap them. You would just have to be careful not to overtighten them. I'd have to check, but I most likely have the right size die.
