Ugly Drum Smoker

Post by brownbeard »

I am building 2 ugly drum smokers, to add to the arsenal. I have been getting more and more people asking me to BBQ, including Houby Days. That means I need more capacity. I should be able to do 6-8 pork shoulders per UDS, bumping my capacity from 4 to 20. Twenty pork shoulders is about 100lbs of finished meat, or 400 pulled pork sandwiches. If anyone knows of a rusty charcoal grill somewhere, I am looking for 22.5" lids, from kettle grills. And, 22.5" grill grates.

I'll dig around in the garage, but I might have a grate from my old Weber. The grill went to the landfill many years ago when I got the Blue Kamado.
