Home malting

I'm thinking about making some home made malt. I found a good source at
http://www.coloradomaltingcompany.com
They sell raw malting barley for 50 cents a lb. I wonder if anyone wants to split an order with me? I'm going to order about 25 Lb depending on how ambitious I feel.

must be thinking of someone else, in that case, are you planing on attempting floor malting?

ok now i remeber where i got that crazy idea you never said you were a lazy brewer just lazy as hell.

Well, floor malting is the only method I would have. The other type of malting is using a drum to kiln dry the malt. I have found a Google document from 1908 about malting that I'll be reviewing.
It's called American Handy Book of the Brewing, Malting and Auxiliary Trades.
