Because of the hectic schedule of the reigning past champion the following dates have also been made available. August 3rd and 10th. Please discuss.

Don't schedule around me. I am coming back from the boundary waters on the 3rd, and will likely not be back until evening. The 11th is great taste of the midwest, and I have tickets.

Don't think I am not aware of that. This will be the first time I have not won it.

Was there a problem with July 27th?

Would any June dates (other than this Saturday - Corridor Beer Festival) work?

We haven't done chicken before, so are folks up for that? I'd recommend legs, so that tasters don't end up having to eat 6 or more thighs (which would be the traditional cut for competitions).

To accommodate schedules, we're going with FRIDAY, July 26th @ 6:30pm for this year's BBQ comp. The Jensens have graciously offered to host.

Mark & Michelle Jensen

Cedar Rapids IA 52402

The meat choice this year is chicken. We recommend legs, but you can bring any cut that you'd like.

Since this is a regular party, feel free to break out those special commercial beers you've been saving up and can't share at the regular meetings, in addition to homebrews.

Just to get an idea of the number of entries to expect, please post if you plan to bring chicken to enter.
