Tallgrass Festival

Post by lpapkin »

As some of you are aware, we plan on participating in the upcoming Tallgrass Festival in Cedar Falls that is a benefit for the Grout Museum (an art museum, not a museum about the stuff that you fill in around tile). The date, I believe, is September 27th, a Saturday, late afternoon/evening. A few of us went up there last year and had a very good time, and even won the people's choice award for favorite beer. It will be two brew clubs, us and the CRAZE group, plus a bunch of commercial beers from the local distributor (very similar to the Benz fest this spring). They need to know by August 18th what beers we will be bringing and a breif description so they can include it in the brochure. If you would like to go and can bring beer (kegs preferred) please let me know what kind and a description of the beer. Just use this post for your responses. We get two tickets, so we can either split some costs or share a glass if several people are going to go. Last year I didn't get a ticket and never did bother to get around since we had three or four beers and CRAZE had two or three. I know that I'm going and Brian is going. Mark will be there with the CRAZE club (traitor!!). Hope some of you can make it and can bring some beer. We had a great time last year and it's for a good cause. If you need more enticement, after the fest we went to a great little beer bar with some Belgians on tap and also had a great time (Dave, Mark, help me out here, I can't remember the name). Anyway, please let me know by the 17th if you can make it. Thanks.

We went to the Lava Lounge in Waterloo, which is a great little bar next Rudy's Taco.

I wouldn't mind going and helping.
However, unfortunatly the Festival of Iowa Beers has cleaned me out.
So I would have nothing to bring but a smile and 2 hands to set up/serve with.
