Club Competition Sticky
Posted: Thu Sep 12, 2013 10:41 am
This post is to provide an easy to find spot for upcoming competition styles, turn in dates and miscellanea.
Turn-ins for club competitions are done quarterly in the months of January, April, July and October.
Judging for competition is done via blind tasting by a volunteer body of your peers using BJCP score sheets and most times using a reference standard. These are not BJCP sanctioned events and are for current club members only.
Entrants for competition should abstain from judging to avoid any perceived conflict of interest. Entrants may however steward or attend the judging session.
Standard rules for competition entry should be followed. Two unmarked 12oz or one bomber/750ml bottle without adornment are recommended. Bottles should be clearly marked and the Bottle ID form is recommended to be used. Please attached the form to the bottles using a rubber band. No tape please.
You may find the bottle ID form here ...

Competition results will be posted on this thread after judging.
Styles will be chosen in advance by the Cabinet and posted on this thread.
We always have a need for judges and hosts. This is a volunteer ran competition and your generosity with volunteering to host, judge or enter are appreciated.
Please support these efforts! Getting unbiased feedback helps us be better judges, brewers and drinkers!
