$1300 isn't too bad. Probably a decent investment if you're opening a nano or microbrew operation with an eye towards large-scale production.

As with all of these automated systems U've seen, You'll likely be limited in many ways. I see 4 hop containers in the photos. So that limits your design for things like IPA's. Since it's a fixed mash setup I'd also be surprised if you can do high gravity beers. I'm also not real comfotable with no wort cooling built in. So you either need to throw the keg in a freezer or run it though a chiller then back to the keg. That creates steps that take away from the automation apeal. But they've already exceeded their goal so a few people are interested.

I think there are definitely applications for it. And you're right on that price. I'm sure there are more expensive rigs, in the club.
