New Gastropub Coming to Cedar Rapids

A new gastropub is going in the old Deanoz location in the Town and Country Shopping Center. The center is also getting a Fareway.

A new place has opened in the old gringo's space as well. Its called Syndicate and they're currently hosting a founder's tap takeover. Food looks good. Ill let y'all know once I order some.

I went to Syndicate ~3 or 4 weeks ago... mine and girlfriends meals were good, but the other couple we went with their food was lackluster. Hopefully that was just initial start-up issues that have been resolved by now. Interested to hear your take on it.

Some guys I work with went to Syndicate and said they have high hopes for them after they workout their 1st year issues and get everything coordinated better. But it sounds like it will eventually be a great beer/restaurant to go to.

Sarah and I stopped at Syndicate for desert, on her birthday. Service was good, the atmosphere is very nice. I'd like to see more taps, but I am sure that will come. Had we seen the menu, we would have had dinner there. We had heard how expensive the place was. And, while there were entrees as high as $23, there were loads of $9 sandwich and burger options. We will definitely go back.
