From the headlines today:
Boulevard Brewing Company—makers of world-class beers like Saison-Brett, Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale, Double-Wide I.P.A., and Bob’s ’47 Oktoberfest—announced that it would be acquired by Duvel Moortgat Brewery of Belgium. The latter also counts La Chouffe, De Koninck, and Brewery Ommegang among its holdings. Joe Stange (RB JoeinEscazú) chimes in on the implications.

Brewery Ommegang is my favorite brewery. Duvel definitely knows how to brew some damned good beer! From the headlines today:

We'll see where this goes. Seems like previous acquisitions have been left to keep brewing mostly how they want.
Given Boulevards family history and status as a growing but still craft brewhouse, I'd think they're going to benefit from the bigger distro and capital available, but be left alone for the most part. Lets hope...I really like most of their smokestack beers.
