It is that time of year again! Time to brew an all grain batch of Rye Imperial Stout. I brewed my last batch October of last year and it is patiently aging in a corny... I plan a number of minor (or not so minor) changes this year. Stop by if you want to hang out and help drain the 2011 RIS. I plan to get started around noon. PM me if you need directions.

I think I might have just made it to call this an "imperial" stout...

Hope you have a big healthy pitch of yeast ready for that one. Big beer.

My starter was really active when I pitched it so I think I'm good. On Nov 10, 2013 4:28 PM, "Matt F" <

Have the blow-off tube ready. Gonna need it. Or this can happen. That's the permanent stain on my basement ceiling from where the airlock blew off and smashed into the ceiling 5 feet above the carboy!!

Tony, that isn't a stain, it is a badge of honor! On Nov 11, 2013 10:37 AM, "tony b" <
