I loved this place. Had some nice dinners there with a few of the Beer Nuts over the years. Was always fun to drag in a few coolers of really good beer to go with some great food. Winebar is staying open though. They have great pizza.



To all the good eaters in Mount Vernon and surrounding area:

After many sleepless nights and much hand-wringing, I've decided to shutter the doors at the Lincoln Café for good toward the year's end. Although there are always many reasons to keep any small business going, there are usually an equal number of reasons, and sometimes more, to move on to a new challenge.
The last 12-plus years at the cafe have indeed been a glorious time for me and the restaurant, and I want to thank each and every one of you, along with my fantastic staff, for your amazing support. It's been an honor to be part of the rocketing and diverse growth in downtown Mount Vernon during this time.
The Lincoln Winebar will continue in strong form, bringing wood fired pizza, drinks and live music to town for years to come. I look forward to that.
Will someone be taking up the reigns in the cafe space? Let's hope so. For now we will keep serving you at the cafe for the next few weeks. Come see us, and please continue to support the Winebar along with all of our wonderful local businesses.


So, that's it. I think that our last night will be Saturday the 21st. As for menu, I'm not sure what we'll be doing. I hope it'll be good.
