Octoberfest at Granite City

If you're a member of the Granite City mug club, they are having a members only Octoberfest party this Wed night, the 8th, from 5-10PM. Members get two free beers and there is a $5 buffet. They are also giving away prizes. I was thinking of going over there after work tomorrow to check it out. If anyone is a member and wants to meet over there, I should be there around 5:30. Non-members are also welcome to meet us over there. I think each member gets to bring a guest, so there may be some sponging opportunities.

How much is a mug club card?

It was a one time $25 when I got it. Gives you 10% off food and mugs of beer instead of pints. You also get points that go towards stuff which I have not used yet.

I should be over there right after work, probably around 5:30.

For future reference, Mondays are 1/2 price membership ($12.50). Don't worry Maverick (Little T) I still love you more. I just can't pass up two free beers and a cheap buffet!

I got my membership today for $10. WOOT!
Also, the party runs from 4-7. There is going to be a buffet on the patio, and it is free to members. They did not mention any beer special, beyond the $2.75 happy hour price.

Dave, the outfits the waitresses were wearing in honor of the Oktoberfest release were very nice.
As for the beer, well, like the rest of the Granite City line-up, the Oktoberfest is rather bland.
But yeah, it was good time.

It was a lot of fun. A great night to be in the beer garden. I agree with Derek. The beer was Granite City. I had an Octoberfest and an IPA. They were almost the same with the IPA being more bitter. Malt seemed the same. Free food was decent though.
