I am finally getting down to the last couple pieces of equipment needed for my keezer. I am looking for a temperature controller, but the sheer amount of things online are overwhelming, and i dont feel i have the skills to wire up a temperature controller to bypass my thermostat on my deep freeze. Looking for something i can plug in and run with it. Budget is always a concern of course. Any suggestions or links to where i can buy such a thing or even if anyone has one they are willing to sell! Thanks again for the advice! As soon as it warms up a little, i should have it up and running! Cheers!

I have a Ranco ETC-111000-000, new in box at home. I had a problem with one, and bought a replacement, only to find the old one was working properly. I'd be willing to part with it.

you can buy a temperature controller on midwest supplies or northern brewer for $56.99. just plug it in and away you go!

I have the Johnson Controls temperature controller. Easy set-up. I don't think it was that expensive, $60 or so. I think Joe has it in stock usually.

Cool. I am gonna end up needing 2. One for the keezer, and one for my fermentation fridge. I appreciate all the input!

I have a digitial Johnson controller. I really like the digital to be able to set specific temps. Down side with the Johnson is if you want to change from cooling mode to heating mode you have to open it up and move a switch. Not difficult to do, but using buttons to do this like on the Ranco would be nice as I use mine to run my HLT for a brew session and then move it to the fermenting fridge. I should probably just get a two-stage controller for my fermenting fridge as I sometimes use heat instead of cooling during these colder months.

Look at SCT_1000. It's a terrarium temp controller but I have 3 going strong after a couple years.

So the SCT_1000 would be awesome, but i have no idea what i am doing when it comes to wiring. So I am not sure I want to tackle something like this without someone around that knows what the heck they are doing to guide me while I do it. =(

When you come get my temp controller, I have one that is already wired with a plug in. It is super easy. It's not even really wiring. It is attaching 4 wires to 4 screws.

I have a digital Johnson Control. It doesn't need to be reset after a power outage, unlike the digital Ranco.

I have a manual johnson controls in my keezer and an STC1000 on my mini fermentation fridge. Both work for their intended use just fine IMO

Johnson A419 works great for me on the freezer. Easy set up out of the box. Ranco has been a challenge. Hehe

Lots of new temp controllers out there I saw at the conference too. A lot of the newer designs are similar in price and are geared specifically towards the homebrewer. May be worth trying if you are shopping for one.

Finally got my 2nd ranco controller to work and now my fridge doesn't work. Lmao. Sigh:-(
