CO2 Fill Cost and FYI

Post by Matt F »

Filled my CO2 gas tank yesterday. The guy I bought it from years ago said it was a 20 lbs. tank. Hawkeye Fire and Saftey is where I fill it and they always charge me for 15 lbs. I guess maybe it is 15 lbs. Regardless, last time I filled it was in August 2009. I force carbonate most of my beers and have four taps. I think that a fill every 4-5 years is not too bad. Cost out the door was $17.67.

$14 and change on my 5 lb tank fill. I'm in and out in 10 minutes over lunch if I need to get a fill.
